Laramie County School District 1 is Wyoming’s largest public school district, and it aims to provide all students with an engaging education that helps them maximize their potential. The district uses Microsoft Learning Tools to help students with special needs exceed prior expectations and performance and make the most of classroom experiences.
“We have a desire to see them in their future when they can be as independent as possible as adults. And the use of technology is giving that to so many of our students that wouldn’t have had that independence 10 or 15 years ago.” – Katie Rhoads, Assistive Tech Team at Laramie County School District 1
It is critical that we all take a moment to look beyond our personal experiences and consider what more we can do to make all students feel confident and in control of their learning. We must recognize the global call for digital tools that adapt to the individual’s needs, so that every student of every ability can learn and grow every day.
