As one of the largest gold producers in the world, Canada-based Goldcorp, sought to maintain a competitive edge by upgrading major IT systems. It standardized on Microsoft 365 company-wide and upgraded employee computers to Windows 10, while distributing four models of Microsoft Surface devices to hundreds of workers throughout Canada. Since moving to an integrated standardized environment, IT is now easier to maintain, offers stronger security, and improves employee efficiency. In 2017, Goldcorp set an ambitious target to increase production by 20 percent by 2021.
